Aerostream is looking for a committed, hardworking and responsible individual to join our Warehouse team as a Port Operations Coordinator on a contract basis from March to October.
The Port Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the receiving and processing of shipments.

Working alongside company personnel and other vendors, you must be comfortable working independently and have good time management skills to meet deadlines.

You will be ensuring all paperwork is in order and accurate. As well you will be required to assist on other tasks or projects as assigned.

Job Summary:

  • Ensure all paperwork is in order, has proper sign offs, and is accurate for all goods being delivered.
  • Receive and process shipments arriving to and from the port receiving area.
  • Report any discrepancies.
  • Follow quality service standards
  • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Check for customs release pertaining to shipments in the warehouse
  • Report any data discrepancies

Shift Times:

6:30am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday

Shift days and times may vary dependent on volume of work and business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Ability to pass criminal record check
  • Ability to obtain all necessary credentials to be authorized to work in the designated port facilities
  • Have a vehicle for commuting between port facilities and company warehouse/office sites
  • Familiarity with warehousing best practices
  • Is a quick learner and able to keep up in a fastpaced environment
  • Able to assess stressful situations in a calm manner and make decisions based on changing information
  • Ability to effectively handle time critical issues and work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Steeltoed boots
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Fun, positive and professional attitude
  • Punctual and flexible with work hours based on volume of work during busy seasons
  • Work experience with warehousing and transportation logistics is considered an asset but not required
  • Having a current valid Portpass or Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) preferred

Compensation:

$24-26 per hour commensurate with experience
