SCV Consulting Ltd. is looking for a new team member to join us in providing top-notch sustainability services to our clients. We need someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, goal-oriented, and has a keen interest in greenhouse gas quantification & verification, circular economy, and life cycle assessments.

Our team of expert environmental consultants operates in Canada and globally to offer reliable services to our clients. We are driven by results and dedicated to solving complex challenges for our clients, from navigating carbon pricing regulations to environmental approvals.

The Role: We are seeking a motivated individual to join us as a lead Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verifier. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying GHG emissions and assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting. Your tasks will include project proposals, client management, and leading GHG quantification projects with a diverse range of responsibilities and a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead GHG quantification and verification for various inventories;
  • Guide clients in climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning;
  • Prepare detailed proposals for sustainability projects;
  • Occasional international travel for site visits;
  • Manage project deadlines, resources, and budgets;
  • Provide technical leadership on projects;
  • Identify innovative business opportunities;
  • And more as needed.

Who We Look For:

  • 10+ years experience in emissions quantification;
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in team management;
  • Proficiency in GHG quantification and verification;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word;

  • Strong project and client management skills;
  • History of preparing technical reports;
  • Prior experience in carbon pricing and decarbonization.
