Rehabilitation Aide

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Rehabilitation Aide position. The Rehabilitation Aide provides assistance to the Rehabilitation Services team (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, etc).

Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Competence from the Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant Program required or equivalent deemed acceptable to the hospital
• Must possess current BLS certificate
• One year recent PT/OT Assistant experience required or equivalent deemed acceptable to the hospital
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.
• Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office.
• Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal oriented care.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
• Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.

Other pertinent conditions:

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($24.67 per hour to $25.21 per hour)
