What will you be doing?
As a
Warehouse Operator at Energy Queensland, you'll be working in a high performing team of 29 staff.


Your day will consist of processing inbound and outbound orders, requiring the pick, pack and labelling of materials both at receipt, right through to dispatch.


You'll be safely using tools, operating plant and equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, powered mobile plant, pallet wrappers and cable winding machines, to ensure warehouse functions and maintenance duties are performed in accordance with safe work procedures.


You'll be undertaking monthly safety audits, reporting hazards in the corporate systems, as well as, ensuring records and documentation relating to stock control and supply levels are entered into the corporate data systems in a timely manner.


You will communicate with field crew members, third party suppliers, external customers and Yurika regarding materials and transportation of various supply products and equipment.


You'll also be recycling and scrapping of redundant materials retuned from the field including dismantling testing and draining of transformer oil (including PCB contaminated oil), and other contaminated and hazardous waste products.

The remuneration for your new role is from $71K plus super for a 9-day fortnight.

What are we looking for?


You have worked in a warehouse operator role previously and hold a 'C' class drivers' licence and forklift ticket at a minimum.

You have a thorough understanding of material handling, storage and warehousing methods. As well as, heavy vehicle combinations, including operating requirements, load restraint and loading/unloading exclusion zones.


You'll have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team with strong computer skills in data entry, with experience in the processing of documentation.

This will help support the team in meeting business deliverables.


Your understanding of workplace health and safety policies, electrical safety regulations, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility Law (CoR), Load Restraint Guidelines and Supply works practices will be beneficial to your ability to hit the ground running in this role.

It would be great if you have a heavy vehicle (HV) licence and/or loading crane & front-end loader ticket.
