Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced investor to join our team in Toronto, playing a crucial role in diversifying and managing the foundation's extensive investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and overseeing investments in various asset classes globally, such as equity, private capital, and fixed income instruments.
The successful candidate should have a strong background in endowment, foundation, or pension fund investment, with expertise in sourcing opportunities, due diligence, and building relationships with investment partners. Additionally, they should possess a deep understanding of investment markets, strategies, and managers.
As a key member of the global investment team, this individual will actively contribute to decisions on asset allocation and risk management while also engaging in operational initiatives. Furthermore, they will play a vital role in recruitment and training endeavors.
Requirements
- Five to ten years of relevant global investment experience with a proven track record
- Degree in finance or related field, CFA, or working towards CFA certification
- Strong quantitative analysis skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and senior management
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking
- Sound decision-making capabilities and process awareness
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Willingness to travel internationally
