The opportunity:

We are currently looking for a
Paralegal to join our Legal team in a permanent position.

Reporting to the Director Legal, you will work in the Legal Department and be responsible for providing expertise and hands-on support.


Key elements of the role include:

  • Drafting correspondence, document management and monitoring contract expiry dates.
  • Maintaining the SharePoint site for Legal Services.
  • Maintaining a document tracking system, scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Proofreading and editing documents, opening and closing files, maintaining paper and electronic files, and performing other related paralegal functions.
  • As a key member of the Legal Department, you may also be required to participate in project work.


You will be responsible for personal safety, that of co-workers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.


What skills will make you successful?
You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and possess or are working towards the desired skills and experience listed below:

  • Formal paralegal training as well as a university degree in a related field; BA or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • You are a handson practitioner, highly organized, handle pressure well, and have the ability to handle multiple projects and understand the importance of deadlines. You must also know how to relate to people in a variety of situations, be highly trustworthy, discreet, and use good judgment.
  • You possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, are attentive to detail and like to work in a dynamic environment.
  • You are customer focused and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in records management would also be an asset but is not required.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), and Internet Explorer is required.
