Job description

We are looking for FT/PT Days and Evenings.

Your role would include some of the following tasks are generally lighter / quieter tasks.

That said, you may be asked to perform additional duties and or responsibilities:

  • Assists and attends to any residents' scheduled support as required such as reminding, cueing, escorting, setup for activities of daily living, and personal support.
  • Provides personal laundry services for residents in accordance with established work routines;
  • Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner;
  • Provide administrative support in the wellness office including filing and organizing;
  • Perform wellness checks with sleeping residents
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Previous work experience in providing laundry services, housekeeping, med admin, serving food, and personal care services;
  • Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent;
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively;
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, transfer residents, carry out an emergency plan;
  • Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors;
  • Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills;
  • Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints;
  • Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness;
  • Must be able to operate related equipment;
  • Must provide a police check including vulnerable persons screening, current CPR, TB screening.
