PAL Aerospace is a proud partner of Airbus Defence & Space for the Government of Canada's Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) aircraft replacement program.

PAL Aerospace will be responsible for the In-Service Support which covers all aspects of the maintenance work not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force technicians.

It will include high-value work such as repairs, 2nd, and 3rd level maintenance, future modification work, and depot level maintenance of the aircraft.

In an effort to expand our current team, PAL Aerospace is currently looking for
Technical Publications Specialist in
Ottawa, Ontario to work with AirPro.


At AirPro the
Technical Publications Specialist will develop and deliver quality in-service support deliverables, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and Support Procedures for the FWSAR aircraft.

This role participates in Publication Maintenance Development Working Group meetings to assist the development of the publications, maintenance program and IETM as directed by AIRBUS in collaboration with DND, and PAL Aerospace.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of all publications in the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) format.
  • Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development and delivery.
  • Oversee contracted personnel in the maintenance and translation of publications.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Publications Maintenance Development Working Group concerning the IETM delivery process to DND.
  • Publications Support Procedures development as per S1000D specification.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (aeronautical or development / maintenance focus is preferred).
  • 23 years of technical support experience in Aerospace environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) and S1000D technical specifications.
  • Strong Project Management skills are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask, acute attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English. Bilingualism (English/French) would be considered an asset.
