SUMMARY OF POSITION:


This role is an integral part of the success of daily operations of Kitchen Door's drop off catering and online food shop divisions.

The role oversees our delivery & logistics department while supporting administration and sales needs. The position requires working closely with all departments to ensure exceptional and seamless deliveries and client care.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Over seeing all logistics pertaining to deliveries and pick ups.
  • Ensure excellent client care through best practices and effective training of team members.
  • Creating delivery schedule based on confirmed catering and food shop orders.
  • Work daily in our booking system:
  • Manage all incoming online catering and food shop orders by following steps and process established.
  • Create orders, send quotes, and capture business in a timely manner. Turn around times are key.
  • Process payments in a timely manner.
  • Process confirmed orders internally by updating all systems and departments as per process established.
  • Help manage products and services we offer online are up to date and accurate through inventory counts and updating system data in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a high level of organization and cleanliness is work areas.
  • Utilize critical thinking when required and show a calm sense of urgency when and if required.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure that each order leaves Kitchen Door as sold to exceed client expectations. Use effective communication between sales teams & culinary teams to ensure daily success.


 Delivery Vehicles
  • Responsible for maintaining a vehicle log for repairs and maintenance and responsible for scheduling regular service appointments for all company vehicles.
  • Catering & Food Shop orders require loading and unload, and often heavy equipment is involved must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Be flexible with start and end times based on business levels and may need to work the occasional weekend.
  • Positive and resilient attitude with a desire to learn and "bleed pink."
  • Able to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, suppliers & vendors.
  • Have considerable computer and technology capabilities and/or be a quick learner of software programs.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address issues and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills attention to detail is important.
  • Be able to reach, bend and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Have a clean driver abstract and be insurable on company vehicle policy.
  • Be comfortable in a fastpaced environment.
