Job Purpose:

The Project Manager is responsible for tracking, reporting, planning, executing, and closing all projects within the organization.

This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while effectively managing teams and resources across various departments.

The Project Manager will work closely with project sponsors and stakeholders to define project objectives, create project plans, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

Oversite and Governance**:

  • Maintain and report on the project plan dashboard using Smartsheet, providing executive leadership with summary updates, key milestones and budget to actual variance reporting.
  • Responsible for the project management office including management of consulting firms engaged on each project (if any), their project managers and technical staff.

Project Planning:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

Project Execution:

  • Lead and manage project teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful completion.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior leaders.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct project evaluations and postproject reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and project management methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and use of resources.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Coordinate with department heads to secure necessary resources and support for project initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and feedback in a timely and effective manner.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is stored and organized appropriately for future reference.
