The Opportunity:

As a Tax Associate in our Wealth Planning Group, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our client services through your expertise in tax matters. This role involves assisting with tax calculations, reviewing tax information, and contributing to the preparation of detailed tax plans for our clients. It represents a remarkable opportunity for professionals with experience in tax or bookkeeping who are looking to advance their career within a wealth management context.

Our Expectations:

  • Tax Analysis and Planning: Prepare tax installment and RSP contribution analysis, assist with the preparation of client memos on various wealth planning matters, and compile data for detailed tax plans.
  • Client Support: Research and answer basic tax planning questions and review client tax packages to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaboration and Growth: Work closely with our team of advisors and wealth planning professionals to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Your Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax or bookkeeping, with specific experience preparing T1 and T2 filing data.
  • In-depth proficiency with technology, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, investigate, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.

Please note: While certification in tax accounting or CPA is beneficial, it is not required for this position. Candidates with related experience, partial or incomplete certifications are also encouraged to apply. We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences in tax preparation or related fields.
