Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, trim, and hardware
• Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or structures
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Proficient in carpentry techniques such as measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of different types of wood and their characteristics
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical systems for carpentry projects involving wiring or lighting installations

Salary:
$19.00-$28.00 per hour

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
