Summary
Slegg Building Materials is seeking an Inventory Associate (Cycle Counter) to join our team. This position is Monday - Friday with flexible hours between 6:30am - 5pm. The wage range is $ $23.50 per hour. Our Extended Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority
  • Perform ongoing, rotating inventory counts of merchandise
  • Ensure inventory is properly accounted for and controlled
  • Complete onhand inventory adjustments
  • Updating inventory reports using Excel
  • Conduct quarterly inventories
  • Update product labels and support price changes
  • Position will be working inside and outside
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of building supplies and home improvement products is an asset
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Excel is an asset
  • Sales experience an asset
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as team
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Physical requirements include:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • A positive can do attitude is essential

The Location - Sidney, 2030 Malaview Ave


Located in the industrial area of Sidney just off the Pat Bay Highway and major transit routes, close to the Victoria International Airport, you will find our oldest branch with many long-term employees including Jason Balderston, General Manager, who has been at this location for over 20 years.
