About the role
We are looking to fill a Material Handler position in our Distribution Centre in South Surrey BC. A Material Handler is responsible for safe and efficient shipping, receiving, and moving of products while maintaining warehouse organization. They assist customers and sales staff with product information, availability, and stock location.
Position Type/Schedule
This role will be onsite at our BC Distribution Centre in Surrey, BC. It is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead by example with a safety-first mentality.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills within a collaborative team.
- Must be motivated and a team player, able to work both independently and within a team.
- Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail, including physical endurance in a high-paced environment.
- Engage in ongoing learning, with or without previous warehouse experience, as training will be provided.
What You'll Bring To This Role
- High school diploma
- Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software
- Basic math skills for simple calculations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/move for 6+ hours daily
- Forklift license considered an asset
- Be inclusive, collaborative, and respectful
- Prior warehouse experience is beneficial
