We are looking for an experienced Construction Rigging Swamper on a full-time basis for a hi-rise project in Scarborough, ON.
Sibwest Inc. is a reliable and knowledgeable formwork contractor with proven industry expertise.

We specialize in formwork and reinforced concrete solutions offering our services to a wide range of building sectors including commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

Covering all parts of Southern Ontario, Sibwest delivers an innovative approach using a range of traditional and modern formwork systems.


Schedule:

8+ hour shifts, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Health and Safety policies, load chart, and regulations
  • Use 2Way Radio to coordinate and assist tower crane operator with loading/moving material within the construction site
  • Knowledge and ability to properly strap loads
  • Assist with Tower Crane operators tasks on jobs sites
  • The rigger is the eyes on the ground for the operator and must be able to identify additional hazards that arise throughout the lift and notify the operator if any changes need to be made to the lift plan
  • Give appropriate hand signals to lift and move the load.
  • Complete all required paperwork for fieldwork.
  • Assist with preparing cranes for yearly certification.

Qualifications:

  • Can use English at a level that enables the safe performance of highrisk work
  • Grade 12 diploma

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a rigger/swamper: 1 year (required)

$40.00-$45.00 per hour
