Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children according to monthly menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure meals are served on time and in appropriate portion sizes for different age groups.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including storage and inventory management.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Collaborate with daycare staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of children.
  • Promoting healthy eating habits and positive mealtime experiences.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a daycare or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for young children.
  • Ability to follow recipes and menus, while also accommodating dietary restrictions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, especially when interacting with children.
  • Certification in food handling and safety is preferred.

$15.00-$18.00 per hour
