Collins Aerospace is looking for a Machine Shop Technician (Fit & Ream) who will perform various duties in support of production requirements.

You will be reporting to the Supervisor, Landing Gear Assembly.

The position is working onsite at Oakville - Ontario Facility

Work Shift:
Weekend Nights 3X12 Friday-Sunday (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work from drawings and general instructions
  • Document actions in support of quality logs and communicates all discrepancies to supervision
  • Work from setup sheets, manufacturing sheets & drawings
  • Work in a safe team oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation & execution of 'LEAN' principles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2 or more years of Fit & Ream experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience utilizing micrometers, verniers, reaming tools etc., in support of quality requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment
