Position Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity in our recycle facility location for a Yard Attendant.

Position Responsibilities
- operation of a skid steer and baler to process recyclables

• Inspect and screen all loads and direct customers to the appropriate areas
• Educate customers on proper recycling procedures
• Complete commercial tipping fee booklet in full; advise on load charges
• Educate the public on wood waste reuse system and issue permits as required
• Hand out schedules, information bulletins and any educational material as required
• Remove contamination from recyclables
• Act as the first point of contact for all staff, managers, clients, and customers.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale.
• Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outside in all elements & weather conditions
• Experience operating a skid steer and baler
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time in a outside environment
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects.
• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Proven ability to work independently while being a team player.
