Teaching Junior/Senior Physical EducationTeacher requirements/assets:
A student-centered approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships Effective organizational and classroom management skillsAn ability to design and implement differentiated instruction based on students' needsA commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs, including an understanding of or experience with a collaborative response model and tiered supportsExperience working with students with moderate to severe cognitive challenges and maintenance and adherence to student Instructional Support Plans is an assetAn ability to work with Educational Assistants in a student-centered team An ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool A demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice and teamworkAn ability to establish productive relationships with parentsA willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroomA commitment to continuous professional growthCurrent First Aid/CPR certification is an assetMust have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
