We are looking for an energetic, confident and positive individual who is passionate about achieving their goals in veterinary medicine. Experience is considered an asset, but not required. New grads are welcome to apply
Have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program. Technical skills or knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy. Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents Passion to learn more within the role A love for all companion animalsCompensation: $ to $ per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.

The Ladysmith Animal Hospital has been serving the Ladysmith, BC community since 1976. Dr. Colin Jerome joined the hospital in 1991 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan. The team moved to a brand new custom-built facility in 1994 where they continue the tradition of providing companion animal care including medical, surgical, dental, digital radiology and laboratory services. The veterinarians and staff at Ladysmith Animal Hospital recognize the uniqueness and importance of the human-animal bond in our community.
