The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Intermediate Digital Product Developer and Senior Digital Product Developer positions.
Intermediate Digital Product Developer:
As an Intermediate Digital Product Developer, you'll be hands-on in designing, developing, configuring, and integrating digital product components and features for moderate to high complexity products. You'll provide input on requirements, update products and documentation, execute testing plans, and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices. Supporting and mentoring colleagues to meet high standards will be a key aspect of your role. Your proven skills in agile planning, organization, collaboration, and interpersonal communication will be essential. Your clear communication style enables you to identify and communicate risks and offer viable mitigations effectively. You excel in discussing technical aspects plainly, facilitating understanding with your team and stakeholders. Senior Digital Product Developer:
As a Senior Digital Product Developer, you will lead the design, development, configuration, and integration of critical digital products. Your role involves developing components and interfaces, ensuring compliance, and leading Agile teams. Qualifications
Education :
Graduation from a college or technical institute in the area of information technology or other related fields, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in the field of technology.Experience:
Intermediate Digital Product Developer
3+ years' experience in a Developer role investigating, analyzing, and supporting complex end user computing digital products; Experience with the development and integration of software and hardware systems; Strong knowledge and experience with Object-Oriented Programming, and Design Patterns algorithms, data structures or equivalent programming languages; Experience in providing oral and written guidance and advice to peers and management relating to IT products associated programs, initiatives, or issues. Experience providing recommendations and guidance in relation to implemented/proposed products and services. Work experience identifying and solving problems. Experience writing technical specifications and documentation. Experience in presenting and facilitating discussions around IT issues and their mitigation. Experience testing IT solutions and products. Experience configuring devices /software. Experience providing mentoring/training to colleagues and clients. Experience participating in the review of team members' deliverables. Experience in digital product development and integration.Experience:
Senior Digital Product Developer
5+ years of extensive progressive experience in a Developer role investigating, analyzing, and supporting complex digital products; 3 + Experience working in Agile methodology, leading scrum ceremonies and prioritization of Product backlog; 3+ Experience leading, planning, and conducting complex projects related to product development; Experience developing, testing, and implementing IT solutions; Comprehensive work experience providing and facilitating discussions and recommendations orally and written for implemented and or proposed products and services, programs, initiatives or issues and their mitigation; Experience preparing briefing material and presentations pertaining to technical topics and presenting to colleagues, clients, and management; Experience providing mentoring, training, coaching to colleagues and review their deliverables; Experience identifying, developing, reviewing, and evolving best practices, standards, operating procedures, and processes.Assets :
