We are on the search for a
temporary full-time IT Support to support our day-to-day IT needs for a
3-month period.
This is a
contract position. As our IT Support champion, you'll be the guardian of our computer networks, providing technical assistance, installing hardware and software, and ensuring our systems operate flawlessly.
Purpose:
This position maintains the computer networks of all types of organizations, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.
IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical issues as they arise.
Reporting to the HI IT Support Manager on any required or necessary upgrades and restructurings deemed essential to the growth of the company.
Duties:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Install, provision, upgrade, and repair workstations, laptops, and other IT devices and equipment.
- Onboarding and offboarding users and accounts.
- Testing new technology.
- Ensures software license compliance.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Helps coordinating the IT project implementation.
- Creating and maintaining SOPs, policies, instructions, and knowledgebase.
- Compiles and validates reports as requested.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
Reporting Structure:
IT is a global function within Hillenbrand ("HI") and the position reports to an offsite Manager.
- Direct: HI IT Support Manager
- Indirect: IT Manager
Qualifications:
- You have experience working in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- You have strong database skills and are detail oriented.
- You have excellent knowledge and hands on experience of Microsoft Windows, Office, SQL, and Networking.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You can interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.
- You have excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to multitask.
- You can work independently with minimum supervision.
- You have excellent judgment and can prioritize assignments.
