Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Family Care Pharmacy, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring smooth operations within the pharmacy

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting pharmacists in the filling and dispensing of prescriptions
  • Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
  • Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
  • Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
  • Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a provincial Pharmacy Technician certification course and completion of the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada Qualifying Exam.
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing in BC
