Tasks:

  • Instruct apprentices
  • Examine, cut, shape and polish diamonds and precious and synthetic gems
  • Fabricate and repair precious and semiprecious metal jewellery
  • Set precious and semiprecious stones in jewellery mountings

Area of work experience:

  • Fabrication
  • Gem and stone setting
  • Jewellery assembling
  • Repair

Art or fashion design experience:

  • Jewellery

Security and safety:

  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
