The HRIS department has as a mission to maintain and support the Pulp & Paper payroll, personal & organizational management and Time entry systems, and to make sure systems under their responsibility are running efficiently and smoothly.

Reporting to the Sr.

Manager, HRIS Solutions - Transformation and Service Delivery, the Workforce Management Technical Advisor, is to actively support and contribute to the existing work force management transformation program and use his/her technical workforce management solution (UKG) competencies, skills through and after our integrations onto UKG's most recent solutions to leverage key functionality and features that will help the organization gaining in maturity and continuing to support the proposed changes.

The Workforce Management Technical Advisor will be responsible for overlooking and confirming at any potential impacts to our existing implementations and work closely with the sites in confirming and deploying these functionalities that are deemed essential to the organization.


This role is key within our organization as it confirms the technical directions and strategies, we should and will adopt to support the ever-changing work force management needs across the organization.


Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Transitioning to a cloud model, it becomes imperative to review and adapt our operational support to understand and leverage any upcoming functionality that would improve our overall efficiency and support our organizational longterm strategies
  • Provide the necessary support to our existing workforce management implementations to proactively address the different issues and requests to be resolved, including, but not limited to, configuration of the issues related to working/pay rules as well as internal and external interfaces;
  • Follow technological leads to implement and certify new functionalities that could evolve into new functional standards for the organization;
  • Act as a functional team member in the context of formal projects and/or operational initiatives to support the implementation of the solution for a specific site or for the implementation of new functionality or workforce management products that could benefit the entire organization. This could be in the form of a business analysis, change management, process improvement or technological role;
  • Produce specifications using the standard workforce management methodology for configuration requirements in collaboration with our internal and external partners. Configure and implement the proposed specifications and perform the expected level of testing (unit, QA and support to UAT) that supports the highest levels of conformity and quality standards;
  • Perform the necessary recommendations to improve the existing business processes and system integrity while maintaining or improving the overall quality of the information.

  • Bilingual, in French and in English*, both written and spoken.
  • This is required since as part of this function, you will have to intervene with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries on a recurring basis, both orally and in writing.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, information technology or industrial engineering;
  • Workforce management and human capital management knowledge;
  • UKG-Kronos design and configuration skills (Time Keeping, Attendance, Scheduling);
  • Familiar with the Agile delivery methodologies;
  • Knowledge of a Canadian and US payroll system is an asset.
