Job Description:
Job Description We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Technician (CNC Programming) for our client located in Georgetown. The company is the leading steel distributor in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and models.
  • Develop CNC programs for laser, plasma, and oxy cutting machines based on design specifications.
  • Reverse engineer customer parts and templates to create accurate CAD models and drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Perform quality checks and review designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CAD/CAM software or CNC programming.
  • Maintain organized documentation of design revisions, CNC programs, and project specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD/CAM software and CNC machining technology.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software and experience creating technical drawings and models.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming for laser, plasma, and oxy cutting machines.
  • Ability to reverse engineer customer parts and templates to create accurate CAD models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.

Location:
Georgetown Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm (Mon - Fri)

Pay Rate:
$24/hr.
