What's the Opportunity About?

Building a Better Future: Aecon Utilities is on a mission to enhance Canada's utility construction sector and we need a skilled Superintendent to join us on this journey.

The Superintendent will oversee project timelines, budgets, and safety measures to ensure successful project completion while managing day-to-day operations within the team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute projects efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Monitor project progress and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage inspectors and evaluate team performance.
  • Provide leadership, resolve issues, and offer procedural support.
  • Implement innovative approaches for high-quality project delivery.
  • Supervise compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and union agreements.
  • Review project costs and profitability reports.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • 5 years of management experience in sewer inspection.
  • Knowledge of sewer and wet utility construction.
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV crawlers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of construction techniques and contract management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain relationships.
  • Organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and willingness to travel.
