Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decorate a wide variety of cakes and pastries with precision and creativity.
  • Collaborate with our pastry chefs to design and execute custom cake orders.
  • Ensure all decorations and finishes meet quality and food safety standards.
  • Assist in the development of new and seasonal designs to enhance our product range.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cake Decorator or Pastry Chef with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency in various cake decorating techniques and styles.
  • Ability to work with fondant, buttercream, and chocolate, and to create detailed sugar work and edible decorations.
  • Knowledge of allergenfriendly decorating practices is preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Culinary arts or pastry arts training is an asset.

Job Types:

Contract length: 6 months

Pay:
$18.25-$18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
