Job Description:


Techo-Bloc is looking for a Buyer for its head office who will be responsible for creating purchase orders and sales orders for the marketing team.

In this role, the Buyer will perform the following tasks:

  • Analyze and complete purchase orders and sales orders generated by the ERP system and any other requests related to the needs of the marketing department.
  • Read and interpret contracts in order to produce purchase orders.
  • Ensure the replenishment of the US and Canadian sites.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team for inventory movements and procurement related to special projects.
  • Forecast material requirements and optimal replenishment time based on ERP data.
  • Develop proposals for inventory management (multisite), product coverage and anticipate needs for yearlong projects.
  • Negotiate, discuss and establish relationships with various suppliers.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence for specific products.
  • Ensure compliance of purchasing processes with specific conditions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
  • Adapt and write the procedures implemented for the procurement SOP.
  • Communicate in a precise manner the operations in progress affecting the various Techo-Bloc teams and sites.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in accounting / procurement or other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of an ERP system such as SAP or Microsoft AX (an asset).
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to organize work and manage priorities
  • Flexible and autonomous.
