Planning & Development Manager working in
-
Toronto, you will be part of the West Sales Team. This position reports to the Senior Customer Solutions Manager and will work closely with key account partners, brand marketing, innovation, category development, shopper experience and retail customers. The Planning & Development Manager is responsible for the ownership of the commercial calendar at the customer level with a specific focus on category development, shopper solutions, and commercial activation. Their focus is to provide direction to the supporting functions (category/shopper/brand activation/shopper execution) to deliver an optimal growth plan that fulfills the portfolio and brand strategies, customer objectives and volume/financial commitments.

The Responsibilities:

  • AOP customer planning and customer/sales presentations, including activation, category management, innovation
  • Write briefs and collaborate with stakeholders in Category Development and Shopper Experience
  • Lead strategic customer meetings, responsible for turning support function inputs into a holistic story
  • Deliver key inputs to the monthly planning cycles (Retail Strategy Meeting, Commercial Readiness & Alignment Sessions)
  • Budget management
  • Post evaluations and utilizing learnings to optimize in year and future planning

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or another relevant field or minimum of 35 years progressive experience in Sales, Trade Marketing and/or Marketing, preferably within CPG or related industry.
  • You are creative and an innovative thinker.
  • You can build and sustain strong internal/external business relationships.
