We are currently assisting our client in the recruitment of a contract The Product Engineer- Chassis Systems. Hourly pay rate: $42.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:
Your role as The Product Engineer- Chassis Systems in Windsor, Ontario (Hybrid) will involve:

- Engineering, designing, and developing Chassis components and systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementing quality enhancements, cost reductions, and efficiency improvements
  • Managing program development, reporting status, and addressing any issues
  • Overseeing the production release of Chassis components, specifically electric steering systems (EPS)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Clear and effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering development and production release, preferably in steering systems
  • 5 years of steering-specific experience is desirable
  • Passion for the automotive industry and experience in design, development, and validation of components and systems
  • Experience in system level bench testing and vehicle level testing for steering systems
  • Validation skills for testing structural components
  • Proficiency in NX/Teamcenter for basic design activities
  • Domestic and international travel may be required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in mechanic work or school projects related to automotive
  • Involvement in Formula SAE or Formula Bajaa projects
