We are currently hiring a Shop Hand out of our Altona, Manitoba terminal.


The Shop Hand will aid in a variety of tasks including being a wash bay attendant, assist in light mechanic repair, and provide support to the Service Manager.

You will be trained to preform routine maintenance and cleaning of shop equipment and making sure it's safe and compliant.


Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Shop Hand:

  • Basic ongoing maintenance / repair of tractors/trailers;
  • Tire repair/maintenance
  • Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities;
  • Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs;
  • Complete Wash Bay attendant duties;
  • General housekeeping in shop and yard areas;
  • Spring and winter maintenance;
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings and inspections;
  • Perform various other related duties as assigned;
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exposure to working in a shop considered an asset
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
