Director, Valuations & Financial Structuring, you will work within a high-performing, collaborative Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) group with a strong track record of supporting the business with outstanding financial modeling and analysis.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on highly strategic and impactful projects across various sectors (mainly chemicals manufacturing and mining) as part of a newly created centralized Valuation & Financial Structuring team.

This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the analysis, evaluation and successful execution of capital investment projects and other strategic initiatives across the Nitrogen & Phosphate and Potash Business Units.

You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of Associates, collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional groups to perform financial modeling, develop valuations, and assist in project structuring to support Nutrien's growth and expansion initiatives.

Provide guidance, oversight and review for the development of complex and detailed financial modeling and analysis, including valuation modeling, to support potential capital investments and other strategic initiatives.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of Nutrien's business units to effectively support strategic investment objectives.
Offer expert consultation to senior team members and cross-functional groups in financial modelling and valuation work.
Provide thought leadership in "sizing up" the risks and rewards of investment opportunities.
Facilitate effective communication between Nutrien business units and corporate decision makers to promote collaboration and information flow.
Oversee the preparation of presentations for senior executives and the Board of Directors
Display a flexible "can do" attitude and willingness to help where needed.
Provide training and support to team members on financial modeling techniques and methodologies.
Manage deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexity.

Take a proactive approach to the tasks at hand and respond quickly to the needs of the group and Nutrien's business units.

University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or other relevant discipline.
CFA designation, MBA, or a Graduate degree in a relevant field is considered desirable, but not mandatory.

8+ years of experience in corporate development, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a related analytical role.

Experience or familiarity with commodities industries will be considered an asset.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with financial databases (i.e., is considered an asset.
