We are seeking a Full Time Shop Technician and Delivery Route Driver - Owen Sound Branch.


Based out of our Owen Sound location, you will learn the basics of Fire Extinguisher service from our experienced team.

As you learn, progression into HP Testing and other opportunities will be available, including field service supporting our existing Route Technicians.

Several days per week, you will drive our delivery vehicle on a predetermined route within Ontario, transferring Fire Extinguishers, HP Cylinders, and other parts between our branches.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Testing and Service of Hand portable fire extinguishers
  • Kitchen fire suppression system cylinder test and service
  • High pressure fire suppression system cylinder test and service
  • Fire hose test and service
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various shop related equipment
  • Test and service of various other fire and security equipment
  • Travel between branches on a predefined route to load, deliver and unload materiel using our company truck (Day Trips, always returning to Owen Sound each day)
  • Obtain Transport Canada certification / Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification.
  • Assist Field technicians
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • A valid motor vehicle license is required (Class G) with annual abstract to maintain eligibility.
  • Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License
