Our client is seekinga Safety Engineer with experience of identifying and managing HSE risks, prioritizing and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Equipped with essential leadership qualities including managing remote teams, decision making, developing people, and managing innovation & change. Also with experience or track record of evaluating and Improving Safety behavior and culture in complex working environments.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental science or in a related field is preferred.
~10 years of related safety/operational experience and/or training in the oil andgas industry (preferably 3 years in offshore).
~ Knowledge or training in the following: occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards.
~ Knowledge of delivering hands on health, safety and environmental training.
~ Ability to assist with developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
~ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (training/presentations/report writing).
~ Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
~ Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.

Possess a strong knowledge of industrial standards and codes including SOLAS, MARPOL, API, and IOGP.

Ability with proven experience to investigate industrial incidents to identify root causes utilizing a recognized RCA methodology (preferably Taproot) and developing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Ability with proven experience to lead or facilitate Operational HSE risk assessments (i.e. SIMOP studies) utilizing recognized techniques such as HAZOP, Bow-tie, QRA etc.
Provide experience of developing and auditing Safety and environmental management systems. Must have experience of bridging multi-stakeholder HSE management systems.
Proven experience of developing and implementing emergency management system for highly hazardous multi-site operations (including offshore facilities).

1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.

If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client.
If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you.

If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location.

The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation.

3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field.

Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
