About This Role

We are searching for a skilled Java Developer to work on handling large data sets for the Market Risk reporting platform at TD Securities. The position involves creating a software solution to gather data from various sources and share it with different stakeholders, from IT applications to business teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology to tackle challenges related to scale and speed.

  • Implement ETL processes to collect large data sets from multiple sources
  • Monitor performance and recommend necessary application and infrastructure changes
  • Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery
  • Drive transformation by automating processes, testing, and enhancing data quality
  • Explore new technologies to foster innovation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in writing clean code with Java 8 and Java 17
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in Java development
  • Experience with Spring (Core, Boot) for building solutions
  • Proficiency in development tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, and Nexus
  • Understanding of relevant design patterns and their nuances
  • Experience with messaging systems like Solace and RabbitMQ
  • Knowledge of React-Native, Redux, and ideally some exposure to Scala
  • Understanding of distributed computing principles
  • Familiarity with data modeling, access, and storage techniques
  • Passion for streamlining work processes, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
