Job brief

We are looking for a General Laborer to take up manual labor tasks and support operations in construction worksites with focus on the civil construction (Eg. Foundation preparation, roadbuilding, underground services, etc) assisting the Heavy Equipment Operators.

You will be required to do various onsite tasks, such as handle power tools and materials (saws and drills, etc) You will be required to keep the work area in a safe and orderly condition and be responsible for the location and return of any tools used during the day.


You will be required to have sufficient stamina to perform all required duties and haver the ability to lift heavy loads.

You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to all safety guidelines and rules.

You will also be required to:

  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
  • Assist other tradespeople onsite
  • Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
  • Use power tools and machinery (e.g. compactors, rollers, skid steer) when needed
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking of goods)
  • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. piping)
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions
Requirements and skills

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing/walking for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.)
  • Good handeye coordination
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery, small and large equipment
  • Communication and teamwork skills are a necessity
  • Commitment to safety rules
  • Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary
**Wage is dependent on experience.

From $25.00 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
