This position is for a Rigging and Technical Direction faculty position in the 3D Animation for Film and Games Department.


As a faculty member you will provide educational leadership, curriculum development and delivery of first year and/or second year 3D Rigging and Technical Direction courses.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of industry experience in the creation of advanced 3D character rigs and animation.

This position is ideal for a senior professional who is capable of teaching character rigging and technical direction. Additional expertise in other areas of animation production would be beneficial.

Participation in department planning and review
Work collaboratively with students, staff and faculty in the development and delivery of the 3D Rigging and Technical Direction courses
Engage with local industry to build graduate success
Instruct students in the subjects of character rigging and technical direction for animation production
Support and mentor students with their graduation portfolios
Instruct students in the use of industry standard 3D technologies
Evaluate and grade students' performance
Inspire the next generation of 3D artists and animators
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in a related discipline may be considered;
A minimum of 5 years' production experience in television, film or game animation industries;
High level character rigging and technical direction experience using Maya;
Post-Secondary teaching experience preferred;
