We are looking for a full-time
Specialist, Internal Communications and Engagement. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will be reporting to the Director, Human Resources.

In this role, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with content owners and various departments to design, develop and maintain the firm's intranet content.

You will seek new and innovative ways to drive intranet usage.

You will also be responsible for promoting employee engagement by creating communication plans, creative material and collateral for firm members.


Responsibilities:

  • Draft and develop internal communication pages for the intranet and collaborate with internal business services teams
  • Maintain editorial control of content on various firm channels to ensure the brand is well reflected and promoted in all materials, act as quality control for consistency, style and overall messaging
  • Ensure the intranet content remains current and relevant to the firm including content selection, publication process, and best practice management
  • Execution of internal communication strategies/plans that drive employee engagement, ensuring alignment to the firm's priorities
  • Plan and execute internal engagement events, that drive engagement and promote brand awareness, including logistics management, promotion, and followup
  • Collaborate with and support the events team on various firm events
  • Create new engaging content including banners, posters, microsites and educational material for events and cultural celebrations throughout the year
  • Design invites, logos, taglines, signage, speaking notes and PowerPoint presentations, ensuring consistent branding
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness and ROI of engagement programs and events, and use insights to improve and optimize future initiatives
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement
  • Experience in a professional services environment is preferred
  • Superior communication skills, excellent attention to detail, creative writing and copy editing skills
  • Experience in managing internal communication channels and tools, such as newsletters, intranet, social media, and other platforms
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and design software such as Photoshop or Canva
  • Video editing experience is an asset
  • Experience in event planning and execution, including logistics management, promotion, and followup
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels, facilitate teamwork, work independently and identify opportunities to develop new processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Familiarity with internal communication and engagement best practices and tools
