Rhyno's is looking for a full-time
Purchasing Clerk.

As a Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily purchasing and material transactions for various company business units.

This includes tracking, storage, and inputting of materials into the inventory system.


You will also assist with organizing and maintaining material storage methods throughout the property to ensure materials are promptly returned to storage areas for future use and to minimize waste.


Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels for predetermined items to ensure the continuous flow of materials and key products, utilizing our computerized inventory system.
  • Issuing purchase orders, following up with suppliers, expediting past due orders.
  • Coordinating, executing and maintaining administrative processes and systems, in line with internal company procedures.
  • Communicating potential inventory/supply chain issues to the Operations Manager and Sales Manager, attempting to avoid material and equipment shortages.
  • Looking for effective ways to improve day to day operational objectives and efficiencies.
  • Assist with the coordination of planned material transactions within other departments.
  • Track usage and prepare categorized purchasing reports.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and inventory system record.
  • Complete cycle counts to maintain an accurate inventory listing.
  • Assist in the distribution, organization, and maintenance of storage areas and inventory locations.
  • Load/unload trailers & trucks as shipments arrive and depart.
  • Data Entry, purchase order receipts, supplier invoice reconciliation.
  • Strong communication skills, able to receive direction.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a material supervisor, inventory/stock management
  • Highly effective analytical skills and associated techniques
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
  • Handson commitment to getting the job done efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate organizational, timemanagement and decisionmaking skills
  • Managing a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Construction material knowledge would be a plus; 13 years' experience working within a construction company would be an asset
  • Proficient in MS office
  • A valid drivers license, with a clean driving record

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday; 8am4:30pm
