WHAT TO EXPECT:

The Maintenance Planner will coordinate mechanical work to optimize preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities. He/she will also have a major role in improving and optimizing the maintenance management software (Guide-TI). He/she will manage the distribution and estimation of maintenance BTs.

Here's an overview of your tasks:

  • Coordinate and plan preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities in collaboration with production
  • Estimate and plan the resources required to perform maintenance activities (labor, materials, external resources)
  • Maintain and continuously analyze the preventive maintenance schedule in collaboration with production
  • Generate and follow up on work orders (WO) in order to optimize maintenance activities, building on the strengths of each individual
  • Organize, rationalize and standardize the inventory of maintenance parts
  • Participate in providing technical support and expertise to the maintenance team
  • Supervise and develop hot work and machine lockout (shared with supervisor)
  • Prepare the necessary documents for maintenance activities (work permit, alarm system bypass)
  • Participate in the weekly analysis of the department's performance
  • Act as an expert on the Guide-TI software
  • Responsible for the optimization of the software by considering best practices
  • Provide support to CMMS users

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • DEC in mechanical engineering or any other equivalent with five (5) years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of Guide-TI maintenance software or any other maintenance management software (asset)
  • Computer skills
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness, the person is able to take charge of the Guide-TI software and maintenance activities and ensure followup
  • Be selftaught and have initiative
  • Ability to remain calm in complex situations
  • Ability to analyze situations, the person has a critical sense to optimize maintenance activities
  • Ability to speak and read English (asset)
