JOB SUMMARY

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is on the lookout for a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented professional to join our team as the Periodic Safety Review Manager in Pickering, Ontario.

Working under the Senior Manager, Engineering, the Periodic Safety Review Manager will be responsible for managing and executing Periodic Safety Review (PSR) Projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support associated licensing activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute Periodic Safety Review (PSR) Projects in alignment with CNSC REGDOC
  • Set project objectives, scope, estimates, schedules, work plans, and resource requirements
  • Supervise professional and technical staff as needed
  • Develop work methods and provide recommendations on staff-related issues
  • Conduct performance appraisals and administer collective agreements
  • Coordinate project technical work and seek necessary approvals
  • Maintain necessary Department procedures and prepare new/revised procedures
  • Review proposals and assist in the preparation of specifications
  • Participate in training programs and contribute to budget preparation
  • Lead the application of quality principles within the team

EDUCATION

  • University degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing
  • PMP certification considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years' experience in Nuclear, Project Management, or related fields
  • 3+ years' experience in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in operating nuclear generating plants and knowledge of industry standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong planning, managerial, and leadership capabilities
