G&P Welding and Ironworks services many industries including, heavy plate work, tanks, pressure vessels, structural steel and miscellaneous metals. G&P Welding also fabricates and erects commercial and industrial structural steel as well as bridge structures.


Established in 1972, G&P Welding has grown to over 70 staff and offers a wide array of services to the mining, pulp & paper, transportation, drilling and exploration industries.

We are looking for a full time experienced Steel Erector with the following qualifications:

  • Min. 5 years on-site experience erecting, connecting and rigging structural steel members
  • Perform general ground procedures, lifting and guiding components into position with cranes
  • Loading / offloading trucks and staging materials
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Cutting/fitting with oxygen acetylene torch and onsite welding as required
  • Certifications Required: CWB Certified, WHIMIS, Working at Heights, Aerial Work Platform
  • Must be willing to travel, work outdoors in any weather and come to work every day, on time and put forth a 100% effort.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and safe operation of power tools
  • Must have own connecting tools
Compensation will be based on experience, capability and performance. We offer group benefits and a pension plan.

Pay:
$25.00-$29.00 per hour
