Job Summary

The Production Order Picker is responsible for the prompt and accurate assembly of customer orders from the warehouse or store based on a strong knowledge of DART Aerospace product and product availability.

The employee will confirm that all orders are accurate and assembled free from defects in a neat presentation.

The Production Order Picker/Stager will be required to follow all safe work policies and procedures and work to maintain a clean work environment.

Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Read and fill work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Prepare orders by pulling from stock using ERP software.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to shipping department.
• Assure the quality and timely delivery of shipments.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Organize and clean warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear proper safety equipment.
• Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Shipping and receiving experience is a definite asset.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
