Job Summary

Working under the guidance of the Vice-President of International Sales, the chosen candidate will focus on sales development and client base maintenance in the assigned region.

The Sales Director manages critical functions for sales force productivity, including planning, reporting, quota setting, optimization of sales processes, job design, training, program implementation, compensation administration, and talent recruitment.

Responsibilities also involve overseeing the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.



Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to maintain high levels of quality and accuracy.
  • Supports equitable quota assignments to sales teams and ensures timely objective assignments.
  • Identifies sales process improvement opportunities and facilitates continuous process enhancement.
  • Monitors sales reports, CRM, and intelligence distribution.
  • Implements enabling technologies, including CRM, and optimizes technology investments.
  • Coordinates training for sales teams and management.
  • Provides input on sales incentive compensation programs.
  • Assists with sales incentive compensation administration as needed.
  • Directs consistent implementation of company initiatives.
  • Builds internal relationships with key management personnel.

  • On-time implementation of sales organization quotas.
  • Thorough implementation of sales organization-impacting initiatives.
  • Efficient allocation of resources impacting the sales organization.
  • Accurate and on-time reporting for sales effectiveness.
  • Achievement of strategic objectives.


Organizational Alignment
  • Reports to the Vice President of International Sales.
  • Directly responsible for Channel Sales in Canada.
  • Directs support resources and other relevant management resources.
  • Builds cooperative relationships with peer leaders and senior executives.


Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Proficient in English, bilingualism in French is an asset.
  • University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC and/or Building Automation System experience in sales or sales management.
  • Minimum 5 years in sales operations, business planning, or sales support management.
  • Experience managing corporate initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in personal computer usage.


Travel Requirements
  • Position entails 50-60% travel.
