Our Opportunity

Our team is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the Snyk platform's most critical core service. In this role, you will establish and implement a strategy for stabilising the team's area of the platform, making the Snyk platform more reliable and maintainable.

We're looking for a proactive engineer, who enjoys working as part of a team with a critical mission. Collaboration with other product engineering teams will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

You'll Spend Your Time:

Pair-programming with application developers and reliability engineers to improve codebase maintainability and database performance. Proactively contributing to code, prototyping and developing solutions with a bias for action, and focusing on iterative delivery.Proposing solutions that deliver both short-term benefits and also serve as strategic long-term technical investments.Working with other teams across Snyk R&D globally to actively execute the team's mission.Maintaining our high standards for code quality, testing, and iterative & continuous delivery.Participating in our on-call rotation (compensated).

What You'll Need:

Experience with and TypeScript/JavaScript, and the desire to work across other languages as needed such as GoProficiency in developing distributed applications Experience with development tooling like CI/CD toolsExperience handling incidents in production environment

We'd be Lucky if You:

Are passionate about all things security and reliabilityHave worked with relational databases such as PostgresHave a good understanding of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as CodeHave knowledge or experience with large scale database in production environment
