The Security Supervisor is a contributing member of Paladin Management Team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Metro portfolio as the service provider to NLHS.
The role operates predominantly during business hours and is subject to change due to operational requirements. Varying hours will be set and expected to be fulfilled as assigned.The Site Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and monitoring of all security related duties for the sites they are in charge of.
They are to ensure that all security operations are adhered to, and that policies and procedures of both the client and Paladin Security Group are followed.
You are responsible for all aspects of Paladin's day to day business at your site; you are the frontline representative.
The candidate will be accountable to thoroughly review statistical data, monitor key performance indicators, and provide reports to senior management ensuring effective delivery through communication and direct portfolio involvement.
It is expected that the candidate will provide industry led feedback and create actions plans to improve the quality of service to our employees and clients.
We are seeking a candidate with background in trauma informed care who understands the complexities of today's societal challenges and promotes continuous positive regard for all clientele.
As the Supervisor, you will assist with the continued development of all officers working at your sites, the enforcement and development of new and existing policies and procedures ensuring all paperwork (ex. DARs, Incident Reports, OH&S, Track Tik, etc.) are completed in full and to the standards expected by Paladin and our Clients.You are expected to investigate all issues/complaints brought forward to you and pass those findings on to the rest of the Paladin Management Team.
PORTFOLIO DESCRIPTON:
The Metro portfolio is a well-established group of sites in Newfoundland and Labrador and consists of Major's Path Clinic, The Recovery Centre and St.
As the leader of other leadership personnel, the primary focus is to promote and develop proactive client-centered service through guidance, mentorship and disciplinary measures from the Supervisor while applying resolutions to issues using best industry practice.
Travelling to the sites assigned to the portfolio is mandatory to effectively support both Paladin and client expectations.OBLIGATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Metro Supervisor will manage the 24-hour operations at The Recovery Centre and St.
Clare's Mercy Hospital as well as operational hours for Major's Path Clinic, undertaking the entire portfolio which consists of 5 Security Shift Leads, and multiple team members, as direct reports to the role.
The emphasis on time management, willingness to participate in various client committees (HEM, OHS, etc.) while advancing industry knowledge through IAHSS membership and educational pathways are direct requirements for the role.
Paladin is seeking a curious person who has a passion towards healthcaresecurity and safety and pursues additional education through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS).
The responsibility for implementing and adhering to legislative requirements including but not limited to Occupational Health and Safety and Fire and Life Safety is established and monitored by the successful candidate.
As the Supervisor, you are expected to monitor your email inboxes, audit reports, ensure accuracy of reporting, submit critical reports on time, ensure all operational binders and manuals are up to date and accurate and promote CARE culture with your team.
Ensure all disciplinary issues are documented and provided to CSM for the P&C team.
Managing the Security portfolio's Emergency Management policy in conjunction with NLHS's Emergency Management team and responding to major incidents and disasters is expected.
Experience in healthcare security is an asset and a minimum of 2 years in equivalent experience in a similar vertical is required.
