SUMMARY OF TASKS The Senior Accountant will be responsible for executing the weekly, monthly, and annual requirements for Financial Reporting related to a manufacturing location(s) across Canada. Roles and responsibilities will include the preparation and analysis of financial reports, as well as the review of finance leads accounting tasks. Salary range from $76 265 to $100 100****Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.*****Please take note this role is covering an 18-month maternity leave. RESPONSABILITIES
  • Perform and analyze weekly and monthly financial results and provide explanations for actual deviations from budget, for a group of manufacturing locations ;
  • Review the period end financial close for manufacturing locations responsible for performing their respective financial statements ;
  • Review and post entries prepared by the finance leads ;
  • Review month-end financial controls ;
  • Prepare month-end KPI reports ;
  • Review and collaborate on all the accounting operations for the responsible manufacturing facilities ;
  • Plan, execute and review the annual budget for a group of manufacturing locations ;
  • Perform inventory audits in location across Canadian division;
  • Perform other related ad-hoc duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in accounting;
  • CPA designation obtained or in the process of being obtained, a very strong asset;
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of management accounting experience in the manufacturing sector ;
  • As we have locations across Canada, bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is essential ;
  • Availability to travel occasionally to Canadian plants ;
  • Very good proficiency in Excel ;
  • Knowledge of BI, Maestro and SAP (asset) ;
  • Good sense of organization and planning ;
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
