Shunt Truck Driver - Seasonal


Oxford Frozen Foods Limited, a member of the Bragg Group of Companies, is a vertically integrated wild blueberry farming/processing company and a major producer of frozen carrots products and battered vegetables.

Responsibilities:

  • A preoperational check of the shunt truck
  • Shunting trailers for production between plant 1 and plant 2. This is your main priority and must be done before any other duties
  • Communication between Shunt Driver and Line Supervisor is essential to prevent production down time

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience operating a transfer truck
  • Minimum Class 5 Drivers License is a requirement, higher classification driver's license will be considered an asset

  • Follow established policies and procedures
  • Sense of urgency
  • Work independently as well as a team member

  • Correctly divert waste to support Zero Waste initiatives
  • React to green wastes (wasted energy and water, air leaks, product leaks etc.) by submitting work orders for immediate repair
