About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Regular part-time Trainer to join our
Training/Resource team in
Ottawa.


The
Training team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by delivering internal training programs that contribute to the mission and goals of our organization.


In this role, you will coordinate and deliver all staff training programs related to our Production, Distribution and Logistics; this includes maintaining training records, skills assessments, and proficiency tests.


Formula for success

  • Leveraging your experience, you will provide instruction in a classroom or within Production/Distribution/Logistics setting.
  • Drawing on your organization and planning skills, you will plan, prepare, and deliver training and orientation to new and existing staff ensuring training is scheduled as required and training matrices are maintained.
  • Utilizing your knowledge and skills, you will conduct gap analysis and learning needs assessments to identify staff training requirements.
  • With desire for excellence, you will promote a quality mindset and act upon learning opportunities to encourage/support our National Quality Policy.
  • Leveraging your experience, you will share your expertise and act as a resource to internal stakeholders.

Desired education and skills

  • Certification from a postsecondary institution in Adult Learning is preferred.
  • Certified as a ISTP trainer or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working in a biologics, pharmaceutical, or health related environments is an asset.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment is an asset.
  • Technical skills including MS Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint) is an asset.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
